• Preparation of files for translation (removing of excess line-breaks, typing of text in images, generating bilingual files such as TTX, etc.)

Typical Projects

Much of our activity is related to preparing files for translation, and in particular to facilitating the use of CAT tools with documents that are not available in a compatible format—e.g. by converting scanned documents into MS Word or extracting a file's text content into a two-column MS Word table. We also optimize files for CAT that are already available in a compatible format, but have formatting issues such as excess line breaks. After the target files have been generated, we can help you with typesetting and getting the files ready for publication. PDF Conversion

The conversion of PDF files into MS DOC or other easily editable formats is our most requested service. Files that our clients need to convert are usually scans or "orphaned" files for which the end-client has lost the original files from which the PDFs were exported, as it frequently happens. Logitope is able to reproduce such documents with all details, usually in MS Word or InDesign, paying special attention to logical formatting (use of styles), CAT compatibility, and ease of formatting of the target files. Typesetting

After translation, we can help you to prepare the target files for publication, either by pasting the target text manually into the original file or by directly formatting the files generated by your CAT application.
